The Marcel Lapierre estate is often considered one of the pioneers of natural wine in Beaujolais. Although the organic certification dates back to 2006, biodynamic practices have inspired the estate for over 40 years. The vineyard consists of 18 hectares of 100% Gamay vines. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by the most natural winemaking processes possible, while staying true to regional tradition, meaning whole cluster fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration.
The wines are charming and imbued with a unique signature: fresh and juicy in their youth, elegant and refined after a few years.
This cuvée, produced only in exceptional years, is a tribute to the winemaker Marcel Lapierre. Made from the estate's oldest vines (over 100 years old) located in the Le Douby and Côte de Py areas, totaling 2.5 hectares, it is an extremely limited production.
Carbonic and semi-carbonic maceration are employed, followed by aging in barrels for 12 months. It undeniably has great aging potential.
