Michel Chapoutier currently manages no less than 350 hectares of vineyards in the Rhône Valley. The real achievement is applying certified biodynamic methods there since 1999 and producing some of the most iconic wines of the region. Other regions are also show the Chapoutier banner: Provence, Beaujolais, Roussillon, Champagne, Alsace, Portugal, as well as southern Australia.
From old vines of Marsanne averaging 80 years of age, this Ermitage - or Hermitage - is aged in barrels for just under a year, on lees, with regular stirring. This exceptional white wine offers a rich and nuanced aromatic palette, blending notes of white-fleshed fruits, hazelnuts, white flowers, and a subtle touch of vanilla. The generous attack evolves into a fresh and persistent finish.
