The Estate
Le Domaine Le Pré Vert, located in Razac-de-Saussignac in the Dordogne region, is the result of the shared passion of Yasuko and Guillaume Jacquemin. In 2017, this Franco-Japanese couple took over a 9-hectare vineyard set on hillside slopes overlooking the Dordogne Valley. From the moment they arrived, they began converting the vineyard to organic farming, also applying biodynamic principles. Their commitment is reflected in a sulfur-free vinification process, using indigenous yeasts and very little sulfite, to produce a diverse range of micro-cuvées.
The environmental approach of Domaine Le Pré Vert is deeply respectful of nature. The couple limits the use of external inputs and favors sustainable practices such as manual sowing of green manure and natural weeding through eco-grazing, by welcoming a flock of sheep during the growing season. They are also committed to restoring local biodiversity by creating ponds, and planting hedgerows and fruit trees around the vineyard plots.
