Since 1959, the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht produces absolutley amazing wines out of the 40 hectares it owns. The constant search of excellence and a mind-blowing technical knowledge allows them to be considered as one of the top Alsace producers. 7 grapes are used : riesling, pinot gris, gewurztraminer, pinot blanc, chardonnay, auxerrois, and muscat.
The Clos Saint-Urbain lays on a very steep volcanic soil of 5 hectares. Its nice golden color charms the eye, while aromas of peach and apricot start to charm the nose. Gorgeous texture, quite soft, yet there is a mineral backbone. Keep in the cellar for 10 or 25 years.
