LThe Marcel Lapierre estate is often considered one of the pioneers of natural wine in Beaujolais. Although the organic certification dates back to 2006, biodynamic practices have inspired the estate for over 40 years. The vineyard consists of 18 hectares of 100% Gamay vines. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by the most natural winemaking processes possible, while staying true to regional tradition, meaning whole cluster fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration.
The wines are charming and imbued with a unique signature: fresh and juicy in their youth, elegant and refined after a few years.
Made from several parcels and terroirs with rather poor soils and a certain acidity, this 100% Gamay is fermented with indigenous yeasts after manual harvesting. It offers magnificent notes of candied cherries and blackcurrant, with a silky and elegant mouthfeel, and good aging potential.
