Château Canon is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Emilion, on the right bank of the Bordeaux vineyard. Surrounded by prestigious estates such as Clos Fourtet and Château Belair, it is located on a south-western slope of the AOC, on clay-limestone or sandy soil with a limestone subsoil. In 1996, the discreet Wertheimer brothers, owners of Chanel, purchased the property from the Fournier family, who had owned it since 1919. Today, 34 hectares are vinified, producing wines of the highest quality.
Aged for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels, Château Canon is distinguished by its finesse, with floral aromas and small berries followed on the palate by silky tannins. The oak never overwhelms the wine.
