The Domaine Jamet, established in the prestigious Côte-Rôtie appellation, derives its name from a viticultural lineage dating back several generations. Founded by Joseph Jamet in the 1950s, the estate thrived under the guidance of his sons, Jean-Paul and Jean-Luc Jamet. Their commitment to traditional methods, such as terraced farming on steep slopes, has resulted in wines renowned for their depth, finesse, and ability to age gracefully. One of the greatest estates in the AOC for sure.
The 2019 Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Jamet presents an enchanting bouquet of blackberries, violets, and pepper. On the palate, silky tannins come with notes of black cherry, licorice, and smoke. Crafted through vinification with whole bunches and carefully aged in oak barrels during 22 months (15% new barrels), it reveals remarkable elegance and complexity, promising impressive aging potential.
