Le Château Margaux, joyau du Médoc, est un domaine viticole prestigieux classé Premier Grand Cru en 1855. Son histoire remonte au XIIe siècle, mais c'est au XVIIe siècle, sous l'impulsion de la famille Lestonnac, que le vignoble prend son essor. Propriété de la famille Mentzelopoulos depuis 1977, il est aujourd’hui dirigé par Alexandre Mentzelopoulos, qui perpétue l’excellence du domaine.
S’étendant sur environ 262 hectares, dont 87 plantés en vignes, le Château Margaux repose sur un terroir d’exception, alliant graves profondes et sous-sol argilo-calcaire. L’encépagement est dominé par le Cabernet Sauvignon, accompagné de Merlot, Petit Verdot et Cabernet Franc. La viticulture y est menée avec une exigence absolue, combinant tradition et innovation. Le domaine possède sa propre tonnellerie, fait rare à Bordeaux.
Le Grand Vin de Château Margaux est l’expression ultime de son terroir d’exception. Issu majoritairement de Cabernet Sauvignon, complété par du Merlot, Petit Verdot et Cabernet Franc, il est vinifié avec une précision extrême. Après une fermentation en cuves bois et inox, l’élevage se fait en barriques neuves de chêne français durant environ 18 à 24 mois.
En dégustation, il révèle une robe profonde, un nez complexe mêlant fruits noirs, violette et notes boisées élégantes. La bouche est d’une finesse remarquable, alliant puissance et velouté, avec une longueur exceptionnelle. Un vin de garde mythique, symbole d’élégance.
