The Marcel Lapierre estate is often considered one of the pioneers of natural wine in Beaujolais. Although the organic certification dates back to 2006, biodynamic practices have inspired the estate for over 40 years. The vineyard consists of 18 hectares of 100% Gamay vines. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by the most natural winemaking processes possible, while staying true to regional tradition, meaning whole cluster fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration.
The wines are charming and imbued with a unique signature: fresh and juicy in their youth, elegant and refined after a few years.
VENDANGE : Manuelle. Soigneusement triée, quelquefois en deux passages.
VINIFICATION : Macération semi-carbolique beaujolaise traditionnelle sans SO2 ni levurage, de 15 à 36 jours.
ELEVAGE : En pièce de 228 litres, environ 9 mois.
MISE EN BOUTEILLE : Non filtrée mais légèrement sulfitée.
TYPE AROMATIQUE : La Cuvée Marcel Lapierre, en général, a trois arômes dominants : Cerise, réglisse et violette. Sur le vignoble, c’est généralement les arômes de cerise et de réglisse qui dominent.
CONSERVATION : Vin pour un élevage long. Cette cuvée se déguste dès les premiers mois mais supporte une longue garde sans problème.
