The Château Lagrange has been producing wine since the 18th century. Classified as a third growth in the 1855 Grand Cru classification, it barely survived various crises (wars, phylloxera) until it was acquired by the famous Japanese alcohol group, Suntory, in 1983. Since then, Château Lagrange has been producing environmentally friendly wines with a highly meticulous approach, showing a precision and quality obsession heavily inspired by Japan.
Entirely located in the village of Saint-Julien, the vineyard of Château Lagrange spans 118 hectares of contiguous red grape vines.
Intense color characterizes this vintage, which will remain one of the lowest productions of Fiefs de Lagrange from the estate. The nose is equally intense with notes of blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry. Surprisingly fresh, the wine showcases silky tannins and definite aging potential. This vintage surprises with its elegance and approachability.
50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot.
