In Sarrians (Vaucluse), Emmanuel Reynaud, owner of the legendary Château Rayas in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, delivers some haute-couture to magnify the Grenache (white or red) at Château des Tours, and also bottles some wines under the name Domaine des Tours. Even though the grapes are picked at an advanced ripeness, the wines are not over extracted, with an astonishing depth.
The Clairette from Domaine des Tours develops aromas of candied lemon and beeswax. Great bitter impression on the palate, nice creamy texture.
