The Amoreau family has been producing wine at Chateau le Puy since 1610, in the North-East of the Gironde region. If you exclude the grands crus classés wines, Château le Puy is one of the most sought-after estate in Bordeaux, since it follows the biodynamic principles, the aging is never conducted in new oak, and the wines are great either young of after a few years in the cellar. But most and foremost, it has been depicted in the famous anime "The Drops Of God"as being "the best wine in the world"! After 2017, the Amoreau fmily stopped producing wine under the appellation "Francs-Côtes-de-Bordeaux" and now only produce under the Vin de France category, before, perhaps, one day, an AOC "Le Puy"...
If anyone you know is a detractor of Bordeaux and natural wines at the same time, Le Puy is a wine to pour for them. This a real fruity Bordeaux, where the Merlot and the Cabernet combine in a great blend. And wow, what a masterpiece, what a perfume, such elegance and depth...
