The Estate

The Casablanca Valley, located just 70 kilometers west of Santiago and less than 25 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, is one of Chile's main wine-producing regions with a cool climate. The cold Humboldt Current runs along the coast, creating a cooling effect with morning fog and low temperatures. This results in Villard wines having a lively acidity and fresh fruity aromas.

Founded in 1989 by Thierry Villard, this estate is Chile's first family producer of premium wines. Over the past three decades, it has been consistently recognized as one of the best producers in the Casablanca Valley. In the past decade, utilizing the valley's exceptional terroir and its unique characteristics, the new generation has introduced innovative winemaking techniques to create new structured and elegant premium wines.

Grape Varieties: 45% Syrah – 44% Cabernet Sauvignon – 10% Petite Syrah (Durif) – 1% Petit Verdot

Hand Harvested

Blended in 100% French oak barrels

20 months of aging in 1 to 5-year-old barrels

A wine of incredible concentration, with a powerful aroma of candied black fruits. The oak is superbly balanced, adding depth, while the savory tannins make your mouth water. Incredible length. Decant one hour before tasting.
